“If Nothing We Do Matters, Then All That Matters Is What We Do.
“People shouldn’t suffer as they do. Because, if there’s no bigger meaning, then the smallest act of kindness is the greatest thing in the world.” – Angel the Series: Epiphany
WhedonCon is a Whedonverse convention, designed by fans for fans, with the aim of harnessing the power of fandom to raise money for charities while creating a fun, interactive enviornment for attendees and guests.
The Ron Glass Memorial Scholarship comes from the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center —a neighborhood approach to the revitalization and empowerment of a community in crisis. They foster a safe and nurturing environment committed to good citizenship and academic excellence by providing college and career readiness for grades 3-12. They’re making a difference for life!
Since 1969 the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. They are an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world, a world in which LGBT people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.
It takes a small army to run a convention. Want to help out? Click here for more information.
